WORK HISTORY
Executive Director @Association of California Symphony Orchestras
CA, US
As the leader of the country\'s largest statewide professional membership association for the board, staff, and musicians of 120 orchestras, I ensure the strategic direction of the organization reflects our mission and vision and our organizational capacity continues to grow. I oversee the production of a highly visible annual conference that drives year-round value, resources, and support for members. As an accomplished fundraiser, I articulate the value of the organization to a broad donor base of individuals, private foundations, government agencies, and corporate partners. I advocacate on behalf of orchestras at the state and national levels.Leadership milestones include the successful celebration of the association’s 50th Anniversary at the 2019 Annual Conference and launching a new multi-year fundraising campaign; expansion of the Awards Program to include new categories that recognize extraordinary member leadership; and the conversion to a new CRM database and website. Throughout the pandemic, I led the transition of our 2020 in-person conference to a digital format in only two months, tripling our normal attendance numbers, and I increased member engagement with the association by 588% through critical member programs. I successfully secured federal and state relief funding and helped launched a DEI Committee on the board of directors and have increased professional development programming around racial and cultural equity in the arts.

ABOUT SARAH WEBER
I believe in the power of the arts to give a voice to the voiceless, power to the powerless, belonging to the outsider, and to shine a light on the unseen.Throughout my career, I’ve been drawn to work with arts and culture organizations that are in times of significant change, including opening start-ups; helping companies navigate leadership and staffing transitions; evaluating, reimagining, and launching new programs; building new teams; and establishing operational stability. I bring order to chaotic situations, a new energy and enthusiasm to constituents, and a grounded, purposeful direction forward.
