ABOUT SARAH SMITH

I serve as Assistant Director of Development, Annual Giving at the Boise State University Foundation, where I lead strategy and operations for key fundraising channels that drive broad-based philanthropy across the university. My work oversees a team of more than 20 student employees and includes management of our call center, PonyUp crowdfunding platform, primary donation pages, and Bronco Giving Day.I focus on building strong teams and effective systems that support sustainable growth. My leadership approach emphasizes clear communication, accountability, and data-informed decisions, resulting in high employee retention, strong engagement, and consistent fundraising performance. I lead cross-campus collaboration for Bronco Giving Day, Boise State’s signature annual campaign, helping grow participation and dollars raised year over year while maintaining strong donor retention.I am especially proud to have led and supported initiatives such as the Ashton Jeanty Endowed Scholarship for Football and to consistently exceed fundraising goals through collaborative, mission-driven work. I am committed to creating accessible, meaningful opportunities for donors to invest in Boise State students and programs.I welcome connections with professionals, partners, and supporters who care about advancing higher education and building a strong culture of philanthropy.
