About Sarah Shapiro
Hello! I\'m Sarah Shapiro (she/her), and I am graduating this May from Yale University with a B.A. & M.A. in American Studies and an Intensive Certificate in Education Studies. This fall, I’ll begin an MSc in Comparative and International Education at the University of Oxford. My research centers on comparative special education systems, grounded in my lived experience as a person with disabilities. From co-founding an international education nonprofit to advancing statewide education legislation, I’ve worked across classrooms, policy, and advocacy spaces to push for equity in education. I’m passionate about building access through research, legal advocacy, and community organizing. Let’s connect!
