ABOUT SARAH S.

As a clinical research associate, I care deeply about patient satisfaction and high quality science. My role is to manage the enrollment of Kaiser Permanente patients into oncology clinical trials. This involves guiding patients through the consent and enrollment processes, ensuring data integrity and ethical standards are maintained, and finding innovative ways to increase study enrollment. Before moving to oncology clinical trials, I worked in vaccine safety research at Kaiser Permanente. I partnered with both federal and pharmaceutical sponsors to research several different vaccine products. Some of my favorite projects from this period focused on the COVID-19 vaccines during and after the pandemic. In addition to clinical trials, I am interested in project management and its application to large-scale studies. This interest has led me to earn my Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), and a certificate in project management.I strive to continue growing as a researcher and project manager. Therefore, I am actively seeking professional development opportunities, volunteer positions, and ways to become more involved in my field and in my community.
