I am so excited to have founded PriestleySoundy LLP with Mark Soundy as it gives me the opportunity to combine practising what I really love – Tax in Private Equity transactions – as well as properly implementing the working principles which I have long believed create a happy, successful and innovative working environmental which truly benefits our clients: agile working, real work-life balance, inclusion and diversity.Having practiced Tax law for nearly 30 years, I will be able to focus purely on Private Equity and particularly advising Senior Management teams for PE Portfolio companies for which Mark and I have established a (hopefully) good reputation. We are deal “doers” and not deal “breakers” and I believe we have a reputation for being reasonable and good to work with. I do not believe there is any other law firm in London or the U.K. which specialises almost entirely in advising C Suite teams or a partnership which has so many years’ experience between them advising Management.PriestleySoundy LLP is a completely independent law firm meaning Mark and I can provide the best, most tailored and personal service to clients. Clients will get Mark and me, with all our experience to advise them – we will not disappear after the first meeting and re-appear to drink the champagne at Closing. There are no chargeable hour targets – so we can genuinely offer alternative billing and fee solutions – nor will we be trying to force-feed other services to our clients.I am most excited that I managed to get my name in first over the door!
