As an attorney and an SHRM-SCP, my practice focuses on advising the Human Resource practitioner (and other individuals charged with the HR duties for their companies) on best practices and legal compliance with complicated state and federal laws such as Title VII, the FMLA, ADA, and ADEA. I strive to help employers hire and retain star employees and separate the company from problem employees with as little legal risk as possible. I assist unionized businesses with contract negotiation, grievance processing, and arbitration and provide representation in allegations of unfair labor practices. I also represent clients in Ohio state and federal courts as well as in front of administrative agencies such as the Ohio Industrial Commission, Ohio Civil Rights Commission, and Unemployment Review Commission.
