There is a joke in our industry that no one ever grows up wanting to work in Trade Compliance, you fall into it. When I was young, if you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would have very excitedly declared “Marine Biologist!”. As I got a little older, my dreams of helping the oceans transformed into dreams of helping people. I\'m thankful that my fall into Trade Compliance allows me to act on my dream and help people navigate the ever-changing waters of U.S. Customs by:• researching and translating complex regulations into actionable advice, • assessing the impact of supply chain changes on compliance programs, • or building robust free trade agreement and Buy America analysis processes to better serve customers and reduce costs.When I’m not interpreting rules of origin, I love spending time with my husband, FaceTiming friends and family back in Wisconsin, or walking in one of North Carolina’s many state parks.Feel free to reach out if you would ever like to talk trade, get guidance on your career path, or just catch up.
