The Iowa State Daily Media Group is a student-run news organization that empowers students to inform, educate and engage their community by producing innovative media and building positive relationships while protecting the integrity of our profession and meeting the challenges of an ever-changing industry.Encompasses the Iowa State Daily (this year\'s Society of Professional Journalist\'s top student newspaper in the nation) and Model Farm, a student-run creative services agency.As the general manager, I oversee a team of eleven professionals and over 300 students. Everyday management roles include managing and approving budgets, contracts, marketing and branding across the company, human resources matters, university and community partnerships, and strategic direction.
