When previously asked why I chose to study Communications in college, I would often say, “What can I say? I love to talk!”And that was true. From participating in forensics and humorous interpretation skits in grade school, to competing in public speaking competitions, and eventually enrolling in speech and debate classes in college, communication has always been at the heart of what I do.Talking can build friendships. Talking can solve problems. Talking can heal relationships.But over time, as I’ve grown and learned more about myself, I’ve come to understand that what I’ve always been drawn to isn’t simply talking—it’s human connection. I’m passionate about forming genuine relationships, understanding people for who they truly are, and exploring how they engage with others.Most importantly, I’ve realized that the only thing I love more than talking is listening.I find joy in making people feel heard and in learning from the perspectives and thought processes of those around me. Through both my academic experiences and professional roles, I’ve developed my voice and shaped a leadership style rooted in collaboration, authenticity, and respect for individuality.To hear the rest of my story—you’ll just have to hear me out.
