ABOUT SARAH CHUNG
Senior technical assistance and policy professional with 10+ years of experience supporting federal, state, and community partners to implement complex housing, homelessness, workforce, aging, disability, and human services initiatives. I specialize in translating federal policy and research into practical, implementation-ready tools, training, and systems strategies that improve outcomes for people experiencing homelessness, justice involvement, disabilities, and other intersecting barriers.Currently, I serve as a Senior Technical Assistance Facilitator/Coach with the National Veterans’ Technical Assistance Center (NVTAC), providing national training and technical assistance to Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Program (HVRP) grantees funded by the U.S. Department of Labor. My work centers on strengthening program design, documentation, service coordination, career pathways, and performance outcomes through scalable curricula, toolkits, learning collaboratives, and individualized coaching.Previously, I led regional housing and homelessness strategies at Valley of the Sun United Way and supported Continuum of Care policy and planning at the Maricopa Association of Governments, including initiatives serving older adults, individuals with disabilities, and justice-involved populations. Earlier in my career, I also worked directly with people experiencing homelessness and survivors of human trafficking and delivered prevention trainings to schools, nonprofit organizations, and child welfare professionals.Across roles, I bring a strong equity-centered, trauma-informed, and results-oriented approach to systems change and technical assistance.
