About Sarah Madaus

Sarah is the Associate Librarian at the Nightingale-Bamford School in New York City. She graduated with honors from Pratt Institute in 2025, with a Masters degree in Library and Information Science. She spends her days supporting the lower, middle, and upper school librarians in all of their tasks. She is also a 5th grade advisor and one of the lower school ice skating coaches. Sarah is also a certified indoor cycling instructor, just for kicks!Aside from her library work and fitness instruction, she is a freelance writer, brand consultant, and copywriter. You can find her work in Sports Illustrated, Architectural Digest, Town & Country, Allure, InStyle, SELF, and more. Her past brand clients include Atlas Coffee Club, Swim USA, Elix Healing, and Peloton. Prior, she spent more than three years at Condé Nast’s SELF magazine, first as the editorial assistant, and then as a commerce writer. She is a 2019 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She received her B.A. in Journalism with an additional minor in General Business Studies.During her last year at Temple, Sarah founded the university\'s first women’s lifestyle magazine, REFINE. With a full masthead of dedicated editors, marketers, writers, and designers, Sarah led the team to create two issues during the 20••••19 academic year and set the team up for success when she graduated. She was also the Director of Communications and Publicist, respectively, for two Temple Student Government administrations, and the Photography Editor of the Templar Yearbook. Sarah lives in Brooklyn, NY, with many precarious stacks of books and a number of houseplants in varying stages of life.
