In my role as Public Works Deputy Director of Engineering, Planning, and Development Services at the City of Kirkland, I lead a team of 60 FTE to oversee critical projects such as the Surface Water and Transportation Strategic Plans. I oversee, lead, and manage budgets, grant development, and staff culture to ensure the successful implementation of comprehensive plans and capital project planning including:> development and implementation of Surface Water Strategic Plan, NPDES Permit, Aging Pipes Replacement Plan, flood reduction, stream monitoring, and tree retention.> development and implementation of Transportation Strategic Plan, Transportation Improvement Plan, Vision Zero, Safe Streets for All, ITS and regional transit planning.> coordination with WSDOT 1-405 and Sound Transit BRT projects> development and implementation of Pre-Approved Plans, ROW permitting, street vacations, impact fees, franchise agreements, real estate, and construction inspection.
