The Girls First Fund’s (GFF) vision is a world in which every girl has access to the information, services, resources, skills, and support necessary to decide if, when, and whom to marry so that she is able to live a healthy and equal life and achieve her full potential. The GFF seeks to achieve this vision by contributing to the growth and development of thriving, well-supported, and connected national and community-based organizations (CBOs), prioritizing those led by women and girls, who are working holistically to build girls’ power, voice, and choice as it relates to marriage, education, sexual and reproductive health and rights, economic empowerment, and transforming entrenched gender norms.As a member of the Fund’s 4-person remote global leadership team, I steward the fund’s $25m+ institutional giving strategy to increase foundation and philanthropic giving. My role also seeks to promote and advocate within the broader philanthropic sphere for multi-year, flexible support to front-line community-based organizations working to end child marriage, increase gender equality, and promote girls’ and women’s leadership. I identify, cultivate, and execute proposals and reporting for members of the GFF donor collaborative, and develop and manage strategic partnerships.
