I have designed and am teaching new Sculpture classes (ARTT 210 & 220) at Frederick Community College. Through the semester, students explore various techniques for sculpting the human figure with a strong focus on anatomy, proportion, and the historical significance of the figure in art. Through hands-on practice, demonstrations, and in-depth discussions, we examine the how and why of figurative sculpture. Our sessions delve into the history and theory of figurative sculpture while also engaging with contemporary sculptural practices, providing a comprehensive understanding of the medium.
