About Sarah Causey
Curious and innovative, she is a natural-born disruptor in the AEC industry. Her current focus is on building catalysts for a new wave of digital transformation that better responds to post-pandemic market forces and curates technological advancements around the human experience. She’s making design more accessible, connected, and intuitive for game changers at any scale–ranging from Fortune-500 companies and world-class healthcare facilities to intimate community projects. With a hand in research and development, visualization, and automation, Sarah provides direction for firm’s technological pursuits by maximizing investment contributions to design excellence, enhancing client experience, and maintaining operational stability. She also leads teams of project designers with highly attuned specialties in XR, computational design, task automation and drone technology, reinforcing multidimensional interdisciplinary design inclusive of each studio location and discipline. Her leadership helps elevate the most technically skilled inside the firm throughout a project’s lifecycle. Design, technology, and the pursuit for positive change have influenced Sarah’s career. She first received her undergraduate degree in interior design and holds dual master’s degrees in building construction management and sustainability, technology & innovation. Her work at Symetri (formerly Microdesk), one of the nation’s largest AECO technology consulting teams, led to more opportunities to work side-by-side with the development teams of world leaders like Autodesk on technology strategies for the market and client implementation. Sarah has worked with respected architectural brands, including KPF, RAMSA, SOM, RATIO and Flad. Today, it is her empathy and depth of knowledge that still make talent orbit around her.
