I’m a skilled engineering professional with over 20 years of construction management and operations experience in heavy civil and mechanical fields. I love construction and all its challenges – every day is different. I am very organized and love using technology to ensure I stay that way. I’m one of those people who has an app for everything, both at work and at home. If you asked me how I manage my “to-dos” or recipes, I’ll mostly likely start telling you about GTD and Paprika. I’m a believer in that line made famous by Judy Garland - “There’s no place like home”, and while I’ve had the opportunity to live and work in many places in the U.S, within the last few years I moved back to the area I grew up and am truly embracing country living. In my spare time, I love to cook and preserve items from my garden. In late August it’s very likely I will utter the words “I’m never canning another tomato” but then you’ll find me back at it the very next season. There’s just nothing like homemade tomato sauce/salsa from your own garden! And when I’m not in the garden, I might be taking out the week’s frustrations at the local bowling alley. After 6 years of friendly competition, my team has claimed the league champion title now for 2 years in a row! As a mom, I’ve watched my daughter recently start showing interest in non-traditional careers, and I’m proud to be a role model for her and serve as a role model for all Women in Construction and other non-traditional fields. Encouraging young women and girls to explore non-traditional fields is something I feel very passionate about.
