ABOUT SARAH DUIGNAN
I have over 13 years experience working with communities to explore the impacts of environment, water contamination, climate change, and food security on diverse health and well-being experiences. Specific Skills- Indigenous Interest, Community Health and Well-being, and Socio-Economic impact assessment development (provincially, federally, and territorially in Canada)- Food security and sovereignty research - Water security analysis (households and community)- Quantitative research (survey design, development, analysis, health data analysis)- Qualitative research (individual and focus group moderation, NVIVO analysis, stakeholder interviews, digital story analysis)- Indigenous engagement and co-creation/collaboration on knowledge production and design I use mixed methods to create culturally appropriate qualitative and quantitative research design, and have additional specialties in science communication, community consultation, and digital media. I draw on my PhD work in medical anthropology, where I have worked in collaboration with Indigenous Peoples to identify and assess the cultural and physical health risks of water contamination and climate change.
