About Sarah Brett McIntire
Sarah McIntire works to build inclusive communities through affordable housing, community development and equitable procurement strategies. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, since 2012 she has worked as a non-profit affordable housing developer on both new construction and rehab projects in Alameda, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma Counties. Sarah played key roles in the development of MidPen\'s companywide Values Contracting Policy & Program and continues to take leadership roles as Head of Development Values Contracting and in her capacity as co-lead of NPH\'s Equity in Contracting Working Group. Before working in housing development, Sarah worked in planning and policy, including Housing Policy and Planning at the City of Oakland. She also worked with non-profits and as a consultant on workforce development, multifamily energy efficiency, tenants’ rights, foreclosure, and planning issues. Additionally, Sarah worked internationally on planning and policy projects in the Caribbean. She earned a Master of City Planning degree with a concentration in Housing, Community & Economic Development from the University of California, Berkeley in 2009.
