Lead statewide initiative using federal disability rights laws to defend the healthcare rights of people with substance use disorders (SUDs), integrating litigation, advocacy, and strategic outreach.• Investigate systemic violations under the ADA and Rehabilitation Act across all areas of healthcare including, but not limited to: hospitals, pharmacies, skilled nursing facilities, treatment centers, jails• Build and maintain partnerships with risk reduction providers, medical professionals, and state agencies to address healthcare discrimination and increase access to healthcare, including medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD), when appropriate.• Provide SUD self-advocacy resources to several thousands of people in person, podcast, vlog, email, newsletter, and through our website, which includes a resource list of resources for people with SUD and people who use drugs throughout the state as well as information about SUD and disability rights laws• Deliver education and training to thousands of providers, advocates, and individuals with SUD via one-on-one advocacy, conferences, op-eds, webinars, and outreach.• Drafted amicus brief and filed DOJ complaints on behalf of communities denied essential treatment, resulting in expanded access.• Litigating high-impact federal disability rights case• Provide technical assistance to individuals and community partners
