About Sarah Agara
From across the Atlantic to one of the biggest cities in the United States, to thriving in a small town community, enormous growth can be attained when you transplant yourself in a new environment outside of your comfort zone. This is an approach I like to apply towards my work on taking on new challenges and different projects to continuously expand my skill-set.During my undergraduate college years, I was an accomplished student-athlete competing in division 1 athletics at Rice University while majoring in Chemical Engineering. Upon completions of my degree, I worked for several years as an engineer in the field. My roles and responsibilities have spanned from project management, optimization of production operations, preforming engineering calculations and economic analysis, mentoring interns and junior engineers, promoting safe engineering practices and more.Through my quest to learn more about the energy industry, I pursued a Master’s in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M while working full-time. Backed by a proven track record, I am committed to excellence, productivity, and regard safety as upmost importance in all my implementations as an engineer. My work experience, industry training courses, and educational background has prepared me to be knowledgeable in a breadth of areas, equipping me to take on a variety of challenging problems and roles. I am a professional engineer, licensed in the State of Texas under the disciplines of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering and a certified project management professional.In my free time, I enjoy weight training/exercising, traveling, sports and meeting new people.
