These words are truer today than ever before, as our world is undergoing unprecedented change. However, as an environmental scientist, I embrace that change.Hello, my name is Sarah and I believe that the environmental issues we face today need not become the cost and burden of tomorrow. During my research in Costa Rica and the northern ice fields of Patagonia, this concept became the quintessential mantra that I still hold in high regard. Through my academic work, various internships and professional career, I have gained immeasurable skills and hands-on knowledge of how to:• Give voice to the environment while incorporating the collective interests of all stakeholders.• Be a master communicator, diplomatic negotiator, goal facilitator, and conflict mediator.• Collaboratively think through problems and accurately model and interpret data using the latest GIS tools. Whether as an environmental scientist / GIS analyst at Wright Water Engineers, a Watershed Technical Assistant at the Colorado Water Conservation Board, or my internship as a scientist for the Department of Natural Resources, I have always taken every opportunity to learn new concepts and sharpen my skills – this is what drives my passion and commitment in the workplace. My current role as a Solution Engineer for the AEC sector at Esri exemplifies that dedication and hard work empower me to assist others to map the way to a better future for everyone.I am always seeking to expand my professional network and I invite you to “connect” with me today.
