ABOUT SARAH WINFIELD

Experienced General Counsel (+20 years PQE) lawyer with a proven track record of delivery in a wide variety of international roles as a corporate and energy projects lawyer. Currently acting as interim legal consultant for various clients. Recent experience - supporting a significant hydrogen project in the UK on delivering the client\'s strategy on a first of a kind project, construction disputes, supply chain and asset management in the solar sector, and construction of a wind farm. From devising complex, integrated contracting strategies to delivery of full life cycle projects including legal contract negotiations to onsite contract management, I have a reputation for building trust-based relationships and rapport across multidisciplinary teams. As an interim lawyer, immediately effective adding value to clients and ensuring that objectives are met, legal issues and risk are addressed and business as usual maintained. Extensive international experience in exploration and production, capital projects and corporate functions, managing teams of individuals in remote locations. Hands on approach to engineering and construction projects from contracting strategies (brownfield and greenfield) to contracts management (lump sum and reimbursable contracts), with two decades of international onshore and offshore experience ranging across oil, gas, LNG and CSG industry and more recently in renewables and the transition agenda. Proactive, creative and pragmatic with a reputation for creating successful relationships with stakeholders to deliver business objectives. Made strategic moves from initial legal qualification in order to engage with and make significant contributions to the full business value chain.
