Thought leadership for learning design. Create organizational standards and instructional design processes, design and implement plans to meet enterprise-wide initiatives, evaluate learning technologies, and create and manage Schlumberger’s instructor coaching and certification program. Key achievements include:• Created and drove Human Performance Sprint, a “needs analysis on steroids” that identifies workflows, curriculum needs, skills, technology applications, curriculum map, content prioritization, objectives, assessment needs and business level ROI metrics needed to measure success. • Spearheaded Covid response plan to convert instructor-led training to virtual instructor led training and e-learning. Implemented an original sprint method of instructional design that cut internal development time by 60%. From March – July 2020, 125 instructors were taught how to deliver virtual technical training; 538 days of training and 21,410 PPT slides were analyzed; 14,665 visual elements were reviewed/updated or improved; 2,363 virtual activities and interactions were created to keep learners engaged; scrap learning was reduced by 8%; and net promotor scores and performance improvement scores increased. • Drove initiative to eliminate Death by PowerPoint instruction and instead deliver engaging and relevant technical training. Acted as global facilitator for virtual and in-person Train the Trainer courses that demonstrated a 70% increase in performance from pre-test to post-test scores. • Member of core group that introduced Human Factors and Crew Resource Management to Schlumberger after the Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill disaster. Identified applications of situational awareness, decision-making, leadership, communication, teamwork and performance shaping factors (stress and fatigue). Lead facilitator of pilot program. Participants rated the significance of human factors to their everyday jobs as 19.8% higher than before.
