ABOUT SARAH TURPIE
Hello LinkedIn community, and thank you for visiting my page! My name is Sarah Turpie and I am the Vice President of Operations, serving the Eastern Florida division of Envision Anesthesia. I have a clinical background, hold advanced degrees in business and nursing, and I am a fierce advocate for both patients and providers alike. Those that know me, know that I love to laugh and place a heavy value on relationship development. I thrive in a team environment and have yet to experience a scenario in which unilateral decision making has yielded a positive result. Well, at least in my professional experience. I once made the unilateral decision to adopt a doodle and the result has been nothing short of pure bliss :)I digress.Back in the early I chose Nursing as a career because I excelled at science and loved connecting with people. I thought it would be a great way to combine my strengths while allowing me to feel like I was moving the needle in the right direction. Once I got into the field, I found that I wasn\'t wrong. The work was overwhelmingly rewarding. Emotionally draining? Yes. Physically brutal? Absolutely. But did I ever question whether I was doing a good thing with my life? Never. Working at the bedside was truly a great experience, but as I began to understand how many moving parts had to come together, in concert, to make it even possible to deliver care to a population, it became clear that I could contribute in other ways. I found that there was a shortage of leaders in healthcare that were experienced in both clinical and business, a combination that allows one to balance healthcare cost with quality care and excel in provider engagement through relationship building. I knew that I could help drive healthcare in the right direction by fulfilling this type of role. so I went for it. I have now found my life\'s purpose as an Operational leader. Its all about placing value on what you are doing, and knowing that it takes a village to make healthcare happen. Everyone that works behind the scenes plays a role in the health and healing of humans. Not to be corny or anything, but really it can be such a powerful thing. I want to thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little. If the pandemic has taught me anything, it\'s that connectivity can come from all kinds of different platforms and sources. I truly enjoy being a part of the LinkedIn community and value the support and perspective that its members have provided me. I look forward to our future connections. Stay safe, and be well.
