ABOUT SARAH STANHOPE

I am an unconventional, competent and experienced scientific manager, with over 13 years experience in managing multiple complex work projects whilst managing and working within multidisciplinary teams. I have an extensive track record of delivering projects to the highest of standards to precise deadlines by effectively coordinating and managing all resources. I possess excellent interpersonal skills as well as exceptional writing skills. This contributes to my ability to elicit cooperation from sources ranging from CEOs to consultant surgeons to engineers to sales representatives. Alongside an extensive track record of proposing new solutions to complex problems, and motivating project direction, I am a proactive manager with strong leadership skills.I currently head up all Histology work for Immunocore\'s Clinical Trials, managing multiple in-house analytical projects alongside providing oversight and data interpretation of work completed at CRO\'s. I also manage a number of Clinical Trial diagnostic assays, and am heavily involved in the translation of these assays from the validation stages to having them be run on patient samples. My role at Pathology Diagnostics involved me being the project manager and senior scientist on all histology clinical trials projects. Thirty three percent of my time was spent carrying out laboratory work; 33% was spent project managing and client contact; the remainder of my time was spent teaching, training, and researching the projects I manage. As a Botnar Research Fellow I investigated nociceptive innervation and extracellular matrix changes in diseases of the Rotator Cuff and Achilles tendons. This involved experimenting with new therapeutics for the treatment of tendon pain and to encourage improved tendon healing.
