ABOUT SARAH ELSTON

I’m Sarah and I’m the founder of Slink. Day to day I oversee all aspects of the business, focusing on maintaining current working relationships and growing new. Safe to say no day is the same, but that’s why I love it.I also manage Join the Momentum, a dance programme that brings groups of people together at marquee sports events to perform mass movement dance routines on the pitch. Whilst it feeds my passion for community engagement through dance, I’ve helped many organisations boost ticket sales to new audiences and we’re always looking for new events to consider. Since 2013 I have had a business that deals predominantly in staffing solutions within education, events and most recently engineering sectors. Any typical day includes checking in with sub-contract staff, reacting to situations, acting on them and constantly looking ahead to tomorrow, and the forthcoming weeks and months to make certain we are well prepared to serve our clients staffing needs. It’s a fast paced role which demands juggling multiple tasks at any one time. I have a mixture of full time and freelance staff who handle all of our day to day business requirements. I pride myself on being highly organised and efficient when dealing with any workforce. Early communication, strategic itineraries and detailed briefs are paramount when engaging in the correct way with teams, especially with individuals who are voluntary or sub-contract, to ensure they understand the role that they are being assigned. I am often asked to work within tight budgets, even more so post-pandemic, therefore have vast experience in working on projects and events that require thorough planning and consideration as to how they can most efficiently be delivered. With reference to the sporting sector in particular; I understand the need to constantly push events and create experiences to encourage audiences to attend who sit outside of the core fanbases.
