About Sarah Serrao

Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Research Sub-investigator at DOCS Dermatology. In my role as dermatology nurse practitioner I routinely assesses, diagnoses, and treat patients in medical dermatology clinical setting. I strives to achieve successful patient outcomes and overall satisfaction by focusing on clinical excellence, direct communication with patients and providing cutting edge treatment options. I enjoy providing mentorship, education and the clinical development of students as a clinical preceptor and training new hire NP/PAs. In my role as sub-investigator at DOCS Dermatology research center (DSWO research) I have been involved in 35+ completed and ongoing clinical trials. I complete examinations for patients in research trials for various different dermatologic conditions including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, hidradenitis suppurativa and alopecia areata. Being involved with clinical research gives me experience with investigational treatment options, allowing me to be on the forefront of medical advancements in dermatology. As a Sub-investigator in clinical research I have partnered with pharmaceutical industry companies including Incyte, Sanofi (Regeneron), AbbVie, Eli Lilly, Pharma, Arcutis and Dermavant (Organon). I also participate as a consultatant via advisory boards for pharmaceutical companies including Incyte, Verrica, Sun Pharma, Arcutis, Johnson & Johnson, Dermavant (Organon) and Sanofi (Regeneron).
