ABOUT SARAH RICHARDSON

Award-winning editor and journalist, with two decades\' experience working on digital and print publications. Currently Editor-in-chief at Research Professional News and Senior Director, Publishing at our parent company, Clarivate. I have overall responsibility for editorial strategy and content across digital publications covering research and higher education policy: Research Professional News, Research Fortnight, Research Europe and Research Africa, and our associated RPN Live events. I am also responsible for the strategic development of these services.I was named Association of British Science Writers Editor of the Year 2022; and shortlisted as BSME Editor of the Year 2020, 2021, 2022 (Trade and Professional) and 2023, 2024, 2025 (B2B). Formerly editor at Building and Building.co.uk, the leading news website and weekly B2B magazine for the built environment, and content lead for related conferences and events. Past winner of PPA Business Writer of the Year, and shortlisted three times as PPA Editor of the Year (Business Media). I am a strong advocate for improving social mobility through access to education, and am a trustee of the charity The Talent Foundry. I also co-chair the Association of British Science Writers\' editors\' forum.
