Responsible for overseeing a three-day overnight Gender Justice and Racial Justice camp, curriculum development, recruitment, and training of a diverse 40+ volunteer team. Successfully transitioned to a virtual format during COVID-19 and empowered over 300 youth to become leaders in addressing social justice issues.Facilitated a comprehensive program for training youth as leaders at Building Bridges camp, including Led three-day retreats and five-week summer sessions, handling recruitment, training, logistics, and curriculum development. As an experienced Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) professional, I have dedicated over 12 years to implementing and leading DEI initiatives. Throughout my career, I have worked towards increasing representation and supporting community change through various leadership roles and responsibilities. My extensive career began in 2012 and includes leadership positions, program coordination roles, and directorships at prominent organizations dedicated to social justice and community improvement.I have been the Building Bridges Program Coordinator at the California Conference for Equality and Justice (CCEJ) since 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I successfully transitioned in-person events to virtual formats and empowered over 300 youth through leadership training and social justice education. Previously, from 2012 to 2019, I held the roles of Director of Programs and Program Coordinator at the Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice (OCCJ), spearheading initiatives impacting thousands annually. My efforts included developing anti-bullying programs and leadership institutes for youth.My expertise lies in facilitating DEI and Restorative Justice (RJ) training sessions and contributing to initiatives such as multi-racial affinity groups, DEI training for medical schools, and youth leadership programs. Additionally, I have developed and implemented curricula addressing implicit bias, racial equity, and interfaith dialogue, earning community recognition and fostering inclusive environments in educational institutions and workplaces.My skill set includes program development and coordination, leadership and team management, training and facilitation, community engagement and event management, and restorative justice program management for youth.
