Through our presence in more than 160 cities worldwide, the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) provides Canadian organizations with on-the-ground intelligence and practical advice on foreign markets that help thousands of companies each year tackle concrete problems and pursue opportunities in foreign markets. We have privileged access to foreign governments, key business leaders and decision-makers because we are part of Canada’s embassies and consulates. Our business contacts include potential customers, distributors, sources of finance or investment, technology partners and intermediaries. The TCS also provides Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) services for firms serious about expanding their physical presence in Canada.As Senior Trade Commissioner in Sydney, I lead a team of trade commissioners that assist our Canadian clients pursue economic opportunities in Australia and New Caledonia. Our sectors of focus are information communication technologies (ICT), clean-tech, oil and gas, life sciences, ag-food, aerospace & defence, infrastructure and transportation. We strive to help you successfully export, establish your company abroad, tackle market access issues, pursue joint-ventures or strategic alliances, participate in global value chains and to seek technology and R&D partnerships. Our team also actively seeks FDI opportunities for Australian firms wishing to invest in Canada.
