Office of Appeals (October 2017-Present)-Review cases (de novo) from the NLRB’s 32 Regional Offices-Research relevant case law to analyze whether Regional Office decision to dismiss the charge was correct under extant law-Draft memoranda of law to present to Agency management-Orally present memoranda of law at formal agendas and argue my position before senior members of the Office of Appeals and the General Counsel’s office (including political appointees)Contempt Compliance and Special Litigation Branch (March 2015-October 2017)-Represents the National Labor Relations Board and the General Counsel in all suits not statutorily based on Sections 10(e) and (f) of the National Labor Relations Act-Conduct civil and criminal contempt litigation to obtain compliance with Board orders-Work with matters include actions to restrain or compel issuance of complaint by the General Counsel or particular Board proceedings, actions to review Board rulemaking, actions to compel disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act or payment of attorney fees under the Equal Access to Justice Act-Handle cases concerning subpoena enforcement proceedings under Section 11 of the National Labor Relations Act, and filing objections to subpoenas issued against Agency personnel, or proceedings -Assist the NLRB\'s regional offices to protect the Board\'s remedial orders in bankruptcy courts or against attachments, garnishments or liens
