ABOUT SARAH PARKER

Product focused professional who thrives at the intersection between technology and business, with a background in Computer Engineering. Ambiguity and new challenges excite me, and I feel most energized when working collaboratively to design creative solutions to positively impact others. Experienced in Payments, Digital User Experience, Product Management and Product Innovation, Data Analytics, Program Management and Partnerships, I excel in collaborative and fast-paced environments. My passion for product began early into my career during time spent on a summer internship with RBC Amplify. During this time I gained experience in product innovation by working to develop a new product for our Digital API team. Since then, I have received a Product Management Certificate from BrainStation and started my own mental health business with a range of wellness products, called Nalu Minds, while continuing to consciously bring a user-centric mindset into each of my projects. I have a deep interest in payments and fintech products, sparked by my time as a Product Manager at Mydoh, a fintech app and prepaid VISA card for families. I worked on Mydoh’s Payments & Platform team, where I was responsible for leading work related to Mydoh\'s payments products, card portfolio, core app services. I led several card product launches, including Mydoh’s customizable pre-paid Visa, Quebec expansion, and rebrand.In my current role, I work as a Senior Product Manager at Avion Rewards, Canada’s largest bank-owned loyalty program. I own the digital experience across web and mobile channels for Avion’s Travel and Everyday Redemption domains. This includes everything from redeeming points for a flight, to paying down a credit card balance. I lead a squad of developers, quality engineers and designers, and work across multiple lines of businesses, channels and vendors. I use my payments and technology background to define strategic roadmap initiatives and bring new capabilities to life. My leadership and expertise enable myself and my team to provide users with a top value rewards program.The Engineer in me drives my passion for innovation and to seek out new and challenging learning opportunities. Outside of work, I find happiness through friends, family, creative hobbies and movement – I love anything from knitting and playing the piano to biking, pilates, playing a game of squash with friends or taking my favourite dance class! I am passionate about advocating for mental health and have published a blog through Substack called You\'re Not Alone on the subject.
