ABOUT SARAH P.

Background:I worked for 4.5 years as a project manager on the ASAP implementation team at Epic. After leaving Epic, I took a year off to travel. During this time I developed a travel blog and published a book of our experiences. Upon returning to the Epic space, I spent a year working with Johns Hopkins on a variety of apps (Clin Doc, Research, Order Sets, Beacon). As the ASAP Project Manager, I took Northeast Georgia Health System through Phases 0-5 of Epic with huge success - we went live big bang across the enterprise. End-users in the ED rated their overall satisfaction with Epic a 5.5/6 on our first post-live survey results. At Loma Linda, I served as the project manager over an Epic implementation in a new facility for one of their Community Connect partners (Riverside University Health System), overseeing Epic\'s outpatient and ancillary suite of products. I managed a team of 20+ analysts and 10+ clinical informaticists. We went live in March 2020. Despite the added challenges and complexities of supporting a remote go-live, operations reported a very smooth go-live with fewer than 50 issues. At Orlando Health, I was the Clinical Lead over Mergers and Acquisitions, project managing all clinical Epic applications and a team of 30+ analysts from early discovery through post-live. At UVA Health, I led the groundwork and discovery for implementation and extension of UVA’s periop applications to their newly acquired community health locations. At Bozeman Health, I served as the clinical project manager, overseeing implementation of Epic Clinical apps from testing through go-live. Epic applications: Inpatient (Clinical Documentation and Orders), Anesthesia, Willow Inpatient, ASAP, HIM (Coding & Abstracting, Release of Information, and Deficiency Tracking), ADT, Beaker, Stork, and MyChart.
