ABOUT SARAH OREJUELA PULIDO

Growing up between Colombia and Canada shaped the way I understand community, identity, and the systems that hold them together. Today, I study Political Science and Latin American and Caribbean Studies at McGill, a path that reflects the questions I’ve always had about representation, equity, and how institutions respond to the people they serve.I’ve become known as a specialist in side quests, though they all end up leading back to community and public impact. At 21, my work across campus and in the broader Montreal community has placed me in roles that demand both leadership and curiosity. I serve as President of CLASHSA, VP External of SLASA, Research and Policy Analyst for the Americas and Oceania Division of The Obsidian Current Institute, and Public Relations Coordinator for Maison des Amériques. None of this is accidental, and neither is my place in McGill’s Emerging Leaders team, since the spaces I move through constantly call for initiative, collaboration, and a people centered approach to problem solving.Alongside this, I co founded HERitage & Co, an emerging initiative dedicated to creating intergenerational spaces where women can build confidence, community, and leadership across different fields. Whether in policy research, community outreach, or organizational work, I’m driven by projects that strengthen connections between institutions and the diverse communities they represent.Happy to meet others who care about community and public impact.
