I’m a Founder, Senior Executive, Board Member, and Cultural Architect with over two decades of experience working nationally for community-centric projects while also continuing to work on healthcare strategic planning, affordable housing design initiatives, and intelligent design.In my current venture, I am the Principal Architect for AvardDaniels (AD)- a leading provider of design and planning services for healthcare and affordable housing projects. We have a straightforward approach to our work and believe that the most effective approach to projects involves active listening to fully understand client aspirations.Our nimble and experienced project team brings a fresh set of eyes and ears to each project. I strive to create a responsive value-focused approach for our clients so that we exceed client aspirations today and tomorrow. In 2002, I founded the architectural planning and project management firm Jensen Partners and built it into a nationally recognized architectural planning and strategy practice. In addition to my work with Jensen Partners, I’ve served in executive leadership positions at Hewlett Packard, UCLA, Amgen, as well as on a variety of Boards. I believe deeply in the mission of creating more diverse, high-functioning teams. And I understand firsthand the importance of having voices from all perspectives at the table. For example, during my tenure as President of the Board of LA County’s Natural History Museum, I helped to oversee a dramatic recomposition of Board members from a majority white male group to a fully diverse and representative Board, which today represents the LA county population that it serves.Finally, some of my planning and project management work includes a master plan for Stanford Healthcare, the Northern Light Health Master Facility Plan, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, UCLA’s Center for Health Sciences.
