ABOUT SARAH MACNEIL
In my current role, I lead external partnerships, investor relations (including with the Government of Canada), governance, and communications for the Indigenous Growth Fund. The IGF is a 153M investment fund that stimulates economic growth for Indigenous Peoples and communities in Canada. This happens when we connect investor capital to Indigenous SMEs through a network of community-based lenders called Indigenous Financial Institutions (IFIs.) The IGF is the second fund that I have played a key role in standing up. I began my career working to operationalize the Community Forward Fund Assistance Corp, the first non-profit securities registered Fund Manager in Canada, where I spent 7 years. As a non-Indigenous person, I am honored to work within an Indigenous organization that is governed and directed by Indigenous leadership.
