About Sarah MacKey
As General Counsel I oversee Premera’s Legal Department, which provides strategic legal advice to the company on general corporate matters, insurance law, commercial contracts, intellectual property, privacy, and litigation and dispute resolution. The team also includes the special investigations unit, which detects and prevents fraud, waste and abuse, the privacy program, and enterprise vendor management and contracting. We work together with our internal clients to create business solutions and innovate. I am an experienced M&A and securities attorney and have played key roles in the development, execution and management of significant business initiatives, joint ventures and strategic transactions. I counsel the Board of Directors and executives on corporate governance best practices and requirements.
