Act as a liaison to connect local units of government, business owners, and real estate developers with resources available from the MEDC and other State partners- Facilitate access for developers to state redevelopment incentives that support the productive reuse of difficult to redevelop properties in and near traditional downtowns. This includes:* Evaluating redevelopment proformas and recommending appropriate incentives (grants, loans, tax abatements, tax increment financing) to create a financial structure that both allows a project to be financially viable and supports effective use of state funds* Acting as a project manager to support the development of a competitive project application and submission of a complete, compelling preapplication packet * Advocating for projects throughout the processes of application submission and review, execution of grant and loan agreements, and amendment of agreements as necessary.
