I am an experienced and visionary Lead Midwife with a proven track record in both strategic and operational leadership to advance maternity education, workforce development, and service transformation. My work is underpinned by significant expertise in quality and safety, with a strong focus on improving outcomes in maternity care.I lead the development and implementation of innovative, evidence-based education and workforce initiatives that raise professional standards, enhance leadership capability, and foster a resilient, skilled workforce. My approach prioritises safety, equity, and excellence to ensure that women, birthing people, and families receive high-quality, compassionate care. With my focus on excellence in education and safe clinical practice, I help to build a confident, capable, and future-ready midwifery and MSW workforce.With extensive experience across clinical, academic, and governance settings, I design and deliver impactful programmes that support continuous improvement, collaborative leadership, and system-wide learning. I am deeply committed to embedding quality and safety into all aspects of education and workforce planning.I have 6 years experience as Non-Executive Director with the Royal College of Midwives, I contributed shaping national strategy, policy, and the good governance of business and financial processes, as well as developing expertise in corporate governance. I work to ensure the voice of midwifery is central to decision-making at the highest level, championing the profession and its future.
