About Sarah Long Holland

Newly relocated to the Chicago area from Pittsburgh (and Boston before that), I am passionately committed to leveraging the power of philanthropy to serve the greater good. With experience that spans the arts, public health, and foundation philanthropy, I build genuine relationships, dive into the data, and deploy my skills as a storyteller and thought partner to address our society’s most urgent priorities for creativity, justice, and health. I believe that listening is any leader’s most powerful tool, and I am endlessly curious to find the connections between great ideas and the resources to execute them. I am committed to continuous learning as I help nonprofits and philanthropic partners navigate resource development and organizational change. With depth of experience in cultivating foundation, government, and corporate funding, I have also guided nonprofits and foundations on program design and evaluation, organizational messaging, strategic planning, and the integration of institutional and individual giving strategies.
