About Sarah L. Duval
You have not lived today until you\'ve done something for someone who can never repay you.” -John Bunyan My (personal) world fell apart and I had two choices: sink or swim. I swam. I have set professional goals for myself since then and I have obtained each one. I keep moving the goal post further, and continue to find new ways to challenge myself; personally and professionally. After almost 20 years in ophthalmology, I continue to learn and be excited by the industry and I am forever making new connections and finding new ways to grow. I am an active volunteer for the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA). I am the Vice President of the National Board for the Certification of Ophthalmic Executives, having earned the COE credential in 2020. I serve on the Administrative Eyecare Editorial Board as well as having volunteered on other ASOA committees previously. I am a contributing author to Administative Eyecare magazine, and have been both an ASOA annual meeting speaker, and ASOA webinar presenter and moderator. I will soon be embarking on a new and exciting venture as one of four co-hosts of a soon-to-be-launched podcast presented by the Ophthalmology Business Academy. I am a also an elected member of my local school board.My greatest accomplishment, however, is my teenage son, John.
