About Sarah Kidd

I am an educator, nonprofit leader, and social innovator who seeks to bring about change and real impact. I am passionate about empowering others through education, helping underserved populations, and building relationships to strengthen communities. I am currently working in the nonprofit sector after having taught for over a decade, including six years as an instructional coach. I am now working at the intersection of education and nonprofit in an environment where I advocate for those of refugee backgrounds in their pursuit of higher education. I have a current teaching license, mentor endorsement, and experience in nonprofit management and social impact.

   Met one-on-one virtually with 70+ college students of refugee backgrounds monthly providing essential college skills training - Organized events/workshops for students to equip them with academic/professional skills, leading to increased internship rates- Built relations with higher education departments to connect students with campus resources and improve student achievement- Managed and trained a group of students to form an ambassador leadership team and provide a sense of community- Recruited and interviewed a diverse population of students for admission into One Refugee’s program following set guidelines
