About Sarah Khan

I am a fourth-year Psychology major with minors in Public Health and Nutrition & Food Science at Wayne State University, dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and breaking the stigma surrounding it; especially within the South Asian community. I believe everyone deserves a safe space to talk about mental health, and I actively work to create those spaces on campus through leadership, advocacy, and community engagement.As the President of the South Asian Psychology Student Organization (SAPSO), I help organize events, workshops, and fundraisers that foster open dialogue, cultural awareness, and support for students navigating mental health challenges. I’m also involved in several other campus organizations, where I aim to connect, educate, and empower others to prioritize their well-being.Driven by my passion for psychology and supporting others, I strive to combine academic knowledge with hands-on involvement to make a meaningful impact in my community and beyond.
