Environment - Developing the strategy for the introduction of climate considerations into ECC’s procurement policy, including the requirement for carbon reduction plans in tenders. After measuring our Scope 3 - purchased goods and services and capital goods emissions, creating an action plan to support ECC’s transition to Net Zero through our supply chain. Provided training to internal procurement team of over 120 people as well as to commissioners of services, Anchor institutions, suppliers and bidding organisations Social Value - embedding social value processes into all tenders over £100k, utilising SV Portal TOMS adapted to meet organisational strategic objectives. Maintenance of online SV catalogue, including support for bidding companies, case studies, SV festival content and a community exchange programme. Modern Slavery and Human Rights - reviewed and updated existing processes. Created a risk assessment toolkit to support buyers in identifying modern slavery risks.
