She is looking for commercial to upmarket fiction, from love stories that make you laugh or cry (or both), to twisty thrillers that make you gasp, to morally complex crime novels that let the reader play detective, to fiction that has something to say about the world today while transporting you to another time/place, whether that’s historical or speculative. She ultimately loves books with juicy plots and irresistible characters that you can’t wait to press into the hands of your friends once you reach the final page. On the non-fiction side, she is interested in any narratives that make you see the world through new eyes, whether that’s a tell-all memoir or a passionate expert teaching us how to be happier/healthier/more content.
