ABOUT SARAH FLYNN
I am Professor of Experiential Learning, and Deputy Director for Education in the Centre for Education and Student Success. I support academics across the University to develop their practice and curricula. I specialise in academic development, curriculum design, work based learning, employability, student experience and equality. I teach on the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, and lead the first module on Teaching and Supporting Learning in both face-to-face and online delivery modes. Over my HE career I have developed expertise in and a sound reputation for work based learning, placements, employability, apprenticeships, professional development, widening participation and social justice. My work has been recognised through both Principal Fellowship and National Teaching Fellowship from Advance HE. My scholarship and research interests centre on experiential and work based learning, professional development and identity, and impact of higher education policy on practice. I am proud to be an active member of our Staff LGBTQ+ Network, and a staunch ally in all fights for equity.
