About Sarah Flagel
Sarah Flagel is the Managing Attorney for World Relief Chicagoland’s Asylum Legal Clinic. In addition to counseling and representing immigrants seeking safety in the U.S, Sarah oversees the day-to-day operation of the Clinic.Sarah also serves as adjunct faculty at Trinity Law School where she co-supervises the Trinity Immigration Clinic. She is a national trainer with World Relief Immigration Programs, a frequent guest trainer with the Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC), and regularly consults on immigration program design and best practices. Prior to joining World Relief, Sarah was with Catholic Charities Chicago, where she helped initiate their legal services for victims of violent crimes and domestic violence. Sarah graduated with her J.D. from UIC School of Law with a concentration in International Human Rights Law. She also has a M.A. in International Studies from DePaul University where she defended her thesis on “U.S. Immigration Law: Children as a Unifying Means for Immigration Reform.” She holds a B.A. from Taylor University in psychology and Spanish. Sarah was credentialed as a Department of Justice accredited representative for several years before law school and speaks English and Spanish. Residing in Chicago, Sarah considers Costa Rica her second home.
