Specialising in all aspects of planning law and practice with particular expertise in London regeneration and redevelopment, compulsory purchase, high rise development, energy infrastructure, road and rail, and large scale multi use schemes.I have experience of acting for both promoters of and objectors to CPO\'s/TWAO’s/DCO’s having acted for Tesco on promoting their first CPO, for Westfield on the CPO for redevelopment of Derby town centre, for National Grid on it North Wales Connection DCO, as well as having acted / acting for claimants on compensation claims relating to a number of major schemes - HS2, HS1/CTRL, Thameslink, Crossrail, the A2 widening, Leeds Station upgrade, A63 Castle St DCO, as well as developer led regeneration CPO\'s.I have considerable experience of working on major London schemes. Of note are Sellar\'s Shard and News Building, and the 3rd phase of its London Bridge Quarter Development at Fielden House/21-27 St Thomas Street. I acted for Land Securities on its Victoria Estate, for the ODA in obtaining planning permission for the Olympic Park, for the US State Department in obtaining planning permission for its new Embassy at Nine Elms, and for Unite Students across their London portfolio and further afield. I’m currently advising on 2 residential/retail schemes on the Old Kent Road, and a 600 bed hotel scheme on the Albert Embankment. I also have experience of acting on large mixed use / residential led schemes such as Holt Town Waterfront a derelict 38ha site in East Manchester providing sqm of housing, commercial, leisure and education uses; Barking Riverside a 150ha site providing up to 10,800 homes, 2km of river frontage and a similar mix of other uses; Wood Wharf a 7ha site providing 6 commercial and 6 residential buildings; and I am currently acting on the residential led redevelopment of 3 linked sites outside Norwich.
