ABOUT SARAH FAIRCLOUGH

I am an experienced HR and Employment Law Advisor and Litigator, who provides comprehensive, personable and pragmatic advice.I am a Solicitor. I have completed my Legal Practice Course and I have a LLB Law Degree with honours. I started specialising in Employment Law in April 2010. I have worked for various companies including Hugh James, Lyons Davidson, DAS Law & DLG Legal Services. I have expertise in advising various SME businesses, schools, universities, nurseries, medical practices and colleges on all areas of Employment Law. I am confident in advising on all types of claims such as; unfair dismissal (gross misconduct and redundancies), constructive dismissal, sex/race/age/sexual orientation/religious/marital/disability discrimination, harassment, victimisation, TUPE, whistleblowing, restrictive covenants, holiday pay and wages. I have meticulous drafting skills and excellent analytical skills. I am a proficient litigator having represented numerous employees and employers with Employment Tribunal claims. I also have experience of advocacy having conducted my own Preliminary Employment Tribunal Hearings on behalf of both Employees and Employers. I am able to provide HR advice on each step of the employee lifecycle and assist with the grievance or disciplinary process including investigating and conducting hearings.
