About Sarah E. Watkins
I\'m a problem-solver. I\'ve helped develop and polish manuscripts on topics including memorializing genocide, infrastructure building in Addis Ababa, and evangelical publishing in the United States. I\'ve coached clients working on projects in clinical psychology, collegiate sports medicine, public science communication, and the challenges of meeting the needs of aging populations in East Asia. I\'ve taught courses covering the history of African monarchies, how to teach US history, and historical methodologies. And I\'ve supported companies and organizations in higher education, public health, global migration.Through it all, I have consistently applied skills honed through my training as a historian and educator. At heart, I am a storyteller; I love finding new and creative ways to narrate events or shape our understanding of our world and each other. But I also learned to organize multi-site, multicultural, and global research projects with miniscule budgets. I learned to bring together stakeholders from diverse communities, some of whom are in conflict, and find ways to achieve common goals. I learned to meet people where they are and identify goals; I also learned how to meet those goals.I relish the opportunity to take on a new challenge, learn about new people and cultures, and support people doing creative, vital, and hopeful work. I thrive in situations where I can propose solutions and work within teams to help them work more efficiently and harmoniously. Supporting individuals, teams, and organizations in mastering skills, achieving goals, and incorporating agility and flexibility energizes me. I don\'t just want to help clients finish a task; I want to help them develop the tools to anticipate and meet the next challenge, and then the next.
